Alexis Foster
Alexis Foster thinks she is walking through the door to the present to help change the past. What she doesn’t know is that she is really walking through a door into the past in order to save her future!
~.~.~.~.~.~.~
The more fifteen-year-old Alexis Foster learns about her past, the more complicated things become. Especially when she learns she is suddenly living in the past.
Raised by four eerily identical nurses, she is lead to believe she is now living in the year 1999. She has never before stepped foot outside of The Oliver House until the day they send her off as a foster child with a mission – find the boy from the picture they gave her. If she doesn’t succeed, they’ll find her, punish her, and make her live out the rest of her teenage years under their command.
But when she meets her new foster family, everything changes.
Her foster siblings inform her that the home she left was from the year 2044, and the moment they walked out that door they were transported back to 1999. The boy she has been sent to find ran away the day before she arrived in 1999 with a formula to a drug that virtually destroys the future.
The complications increase when she learns her great grandfather created the drug, she must return to The Oliver House, and she realizes it’s harder to avoid caring about her new foster family than she intended.
When all her efforts to stop the boy fail, she must choose between returning to the future to stop production of the drug or staying behind in a past devoid of The Oliver House and it’s abusive nurses.
