Progress Update (or lack there of…)

So I’ve found a few new readers for my book. I’ve instructed them all to be very mean and critical very honest with their responses. I’m hoping I get some good feed back and once I do, if I do, I think it’s off to do a whole new set of editing. This book needs to be sparkly (Like a shiny hot vampire!) and start catching some agent eye already!!!

While I’m waiting I still have quite a bit more work to do and less than a half a month left to meet my deadline. Here is my updated list.

My Outline – It’s very rough and needs to be tweeked and probably shortened.
A Synopsis
Business Cards
Finishing my Website – This is about 3/4 done, right now we are waiting on my photo shoot to finish the last piece. So this WILL be done by the end of the month
Writing the dreaded Biography
A Book Proposal – Haven’t started yet BUT Jody’s new post gave me some great direction with where to go! THANKS JODY!!!
Finally Polish my “Elevator Pitch” so when people ask what my book is about, I can stop looking like they just asked my to recite the entire Encyclopedia.
Look through my manuscript ONE MORE time to make sure it’s perfect and possibly revisit my first three chapters, I’m not sure they are getting the job done. – Waiting for feedback from current readers
When finished, print out my Manuscript and make it look pretty!
Put together a portfolio for me and my manuscript

Ok so ONE task down and about TEN more to go. I think I see the problem here…could it be??? Why yes it is…. Say hello to my Procrastination!

Time to quit procrastinating and get to work. We’ll check in at the end of the month. Hopefully I can cross off more than just one completed item the rest of the tasks by then!
